Emory Reid, (Bo) Lamb, age 81 of Lowndes Co. died Wednesday June 13, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta.
Memorial Services will be held 11am June 30th, 2018 at Welcome Hill Church of Christ Troupeville Rd. Quitman, Ga. with Minister Jerry Herring officiating.
Mr. Lamb was born December 8, 1936 to the late Eugene Fuller and Emma Whaley Lamb. He was a member of Welcome Hill Church of Christ in Quitman, Ga. He grew up in his home town of Shellman working on the farm until he entered the military. He served honorably in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was employed with the Albany Police Department where he served 24 and ½ years, until his retirement as a Sergeant. He also served as a bailiff with the Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office for several years. Following his time in Albany, Mr. Lamb moved to Valdosta where he lived until his death. He loved fishing, and taught all his grandchildren to fish.
Survivors include his companion, Marilyn Moore of Valdosta, her three sons, Gary (Karen) Moore of Savannah Ga., Gerry (Jan) Moore of Lithia Springs Ga., and Ben Moore of Valdosta Ga., one sister, Helen Rytlewski of Havanna, Fl., one sister-in-law, Cheryl (Joe) Monzie of Bronwood, Ga., four children, Kathy L. (Phillip) Shier of Albany Ga., E. P. “Bubba” (Leslie) Lamb of Pelham, Ga., Daniel R. (Ashley) Lamb of LaGrange, Ga., Glenn W. (Rhonda) of Leesburg, Ga., six grandchildren, Crystal (Michael) Gregory of St. Joseph, Tn., Scott (Diane) Shier of Jacksonville, Fl., Jason Lamb of Ogden, Ut., Joshua (Rebecca) Lamb of Albany, Ga., Allen and Hunter Lamb of Leesburg, Ga., Nine great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Emory was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Yelverton Lamb, one brother, Bobby Lamb, one grandson, Brett Fuller Lamb, and one great granddaughter, Hannah Faith Lamb.
Reflection Cremation and Funeral Service of Tifton is assisting the family with arrangements.
