Obituary for Charles “Larry” Bundrick
Charles “Larry” Bundrick entered his heavenly reward on March 11, 2020 at Dorminy Medical
Center in Fitzgerald, GA. He was born November 23, 1950 in Andalusia, AL to Christine
Bundrick and the late Charles Bundrick. He graduated from Andalusia High School and Alabama
Christian School of Religion. He preached for over 36 years in Alabama, Georgia, Florida and
North Carolina before coming to Dasher, Georgia to live in 1991. Larry was a member of the
Central Ave. Church of Christ.
He met the love of his life, Barbara Hamm, at Alabama Christian College in 1973. They were
married for over 46 years. The Lord blessed them with 6 children and 18 grandchildren.
Larry enjoyed writing poems, singing (especially classic country and gospel music), keeping that
hair brushed, the Atlanta Braves and Alabama Crimson Tide Football. He loved playing with his
grandchildren, taking them to Wild Adventures, sitting on the swing with them “just a
swinging”, singing and talking with them, and hanging out with his 6 children and their spouses.
He played on several local softball teams and enjoyed working out at the gym and walking.
Larry never met a stranger. He loved to talk with people and was known for his friendliness and
his deep love for the Lord.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hamm Bundrick, Son - Chris (Melissa) Bundrick, Daughters –
April (Charles) Hilton, Tammi (Ben) Carter, Barbie (Jerry) Wilson, Heather (Jonathan) Mahlstadt,
Hope (Josh) Hawke, 18 Grandchildren – Trey Hilton, Helen, Aubree, Allie, Haisley and Alex
Bundrick, Harley and Christina Carter, Landon and Ella Noland, Gavyn Wilson, Kaila DePasture,
Gabby Wilson-DePasture, Kelsey and Emma Quiggins, Jalynn and Jr. Mahlstadt, and Faith
Hawke; Mother – Christine Bundrick; Brother – Jeff (Kay) Bundrick; Sisters-in-law and Brothersin-
law - Patsy (Michael) Black, Mike (Tammy) Hamm and Linda Guess; Brother-in-love - Kevin
(Theresa) Guess; Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces & Nephews
He was preceded in death by his father – Charles Bundrick, Parents-in-law – Ralph and Helen
Hamm; Sister and her family – Martha, Ronnie and Jennifer Harrelson; Grandparents Bundrick
There will be a Memorial Service at the Dasher Church of Christ at 7:00, Friday, March 13 (his
favorite number). The service is very casual. You are asked to wear your Alabama shirt, Braves
Shirts or Navy Blue or Red Shirt if you have them.
