Obituary

Douglas Houston Morris, age 62 of Tifton died Thursday July 30, 2020 at his home surrounded by family.

With current restrictions in place, Private Services will be Saturday August 8, 2020

Doug was born, January 18, 1958 in Pensacola, Fl. to the late Narvin and Vonciel Roberson Morris.

Doug and his family lived in Florida during his early years, then moved to Australia for 8 years, where he graduated from Karratha Senior High School, returning back to Florida then to Georgia.  He served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed spending time building model airplanes and attending air shows. 

His hobbies included repairing watches, making jewelry, collecting belt buckles, and finding great deals on Ebay. He enjoyed spending time with his Chihuahua Piper, who only liked him. He also spent countless hours helping his daughter in law Zalana at Snobiz. Doug was baptized on December 20, 2018. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church, where he enjoyed working with the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Ministry through his church.

Survivors include his wife of eleven years, Mary Diane Thomas Morris, his children, Tammy (James) Berry, Kira (Matthew) Ramsey, Emily (Brett) Cravey, Ashley (Zalana) Roig, and Justin (Katie) Roig. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren including, Mackenzie, Abbigael, Kayleigh, Emmah, Savannah, Sophia, James Douglas Berry, Micah and Asher Ramsey, Beau Cravey and Jase Roig. Doug is also survived by one brother, Keith (Lisa) Morris of Florida, and a previous wife, Sherry Morris of Florida.
