Obituary
Edwin “Eddie” Marshall Waide of Tifton, Georgia, was a devoted husband, father, color matcher
and Grandpa. He passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, July 14,
2022, at Tift Regional Medical Center at the age of 69.
He was born on July 19, 1952, in Denton, Texas, to the late Wayman Marshall Waide and
Gloria Horst Battle. He was married to his Sweetie, Michele, for 43 years and together they
owned and worked at B&W Paint in Tifton for 33 years.
Eddie loved riding motorcycles. He began riding as a teenager and continued to ride until he
was no longer able to. He enjoyed camping with Michele and his grandkids, often taking their
camper to the campsites with the best views in Georgia and Florida.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Waide is survived by his wife, Michele of Tifton, who will one day
meet him at the feet of Jesus; his son, Dustin Waide and his wife Kris; daughter, Kristina
Wallace; daughter, Jennifer Wallace; daughter, Lauren Lovett; son, Brandon Waide; Five
grandsons and two granddaughters; one brother and two sisters; and his beloved Australian
Shepherd, Miss Darcy.
The family will celebrate his life on a later date at one of Eddie’s favorite campsites, Rocky
Bayou Campground in Niceville, Florida.
