Michael Edric Collins

Michael “Mike” Edric Collins, 81, of Tifton, Ga. passed away on August
31, 2023. Mr. Collins was born on April 20, 1942 to the late Angus
Edric “Pete” and Mary Elizabeth Collins of Tifton, Ga. Mr. Collins was
retired from the Georgia Agrirama and was known for his talents as a
master craftsman and artist. He had many hobbies that ranged from
knife making to building grandfather clocks, but most of all, he
enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Mr. Collins was a devoted member
of Harding Methodist Church. He was also a Veteran of the U.S. Army
and a lifelong resident of Tift County.
He is survived by his loving wife Peggy Collins, two sons and two
daughters in law, Michael “Andy” and Elizabeth Collins of California,
Russell and Christina Collins of Pennsylvania along with one
stepdaughter Shannon and Jeff Fulghum of Tifton; Four grandchildren,
Matthew Collins, Ashley Woodruff, Mitchel Collins, and Dustin
Scarbor, along with two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his
brother Donald and Beth Collins of Blairsville and sister Debbie and
Darrell Osborne of Tifton.
Graveside Service will be 11:00 am Saturday September 16th at 11:00 AM. at Harding Methodist Church, Tifton Ga. with Rev. James Hall
officiating.
