Obituary
A Celebration of the life of Royce Edwin Smith will be held Saturday March 25, 2023, between the hours of 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the social hall of Mystic Baptist Church in Mystic Georgia.
Royce, age 65, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center. He was born to Edna Lee (Miller) Smith and William Howard Smith Sr. in Ocilla Georgia on March 1, 1958. He attended Irwin County High School. Royce enjoyed woodworking, reading, painting, gardening, and listening to 70’s music.
He is survived by his son: Andrew Smith of Nichols; Grandson: Silas Smith of Waycross; sister: Mary Jane Smith of Wray; two brothers: Bill Smith Jr. of Ocilla and Ciscero Smith of Ocilla; Nieces: Theresa Alberson (Keith) of Elgin, SC and Mary Schafer (Phillip) of Midway, Georgia: Nephew; Lanny Smith (Pam) of Wray: and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Smith.
