Obituary
Shirley L. Sherrod, age 78 of Ray City, Ga. died Monday April 4, 2022 at South Ga.
Medical Center.
Shirley was born November 16, 1943 in Thomasville, Ga. to the late Walter C. and
Louvenia Warren Leggett. She was in food service for over 30 years, meeting many
people and making lifetime friends. She loved to read, travel and share time with her
family.
Survivors include two daughters, JoAnne Green and Patricia (Terry) Blawn, seven grandchildren,
twelve great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one brother, Kenneth Leggett.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dallas
Sherrod, two sisters and one brother, and one son-in-law, Grady Green.
Celebration of Life Service is planned for 2: 00pm May 8, 2022 in Merritt Island, Fl.
