Mrs. Virginia H. Hayes passed away August 14, 2023 at Camellia Gardens of Life Care in Thomasville Ga.
Mrs. Hayes was born December 15, 1929 in Flushing, NY to Charles J. Hay and Mary Ursula Hay. She was a graduate of Adelphi University with a bachelor’s degree in music. She was married to Marvin E. Hayes for 60 years when he preceded her in death. She loved classical music, crossword puzzles, animals, and The Young and Restless.
She is survived by her children, Shawn Michael Hayes of Duluth Ga, Brian Keith Hayes (Cindy) of Cairo Ga, Deborah Hayes Flowers (David) of Cairo Ga, and Kelly Marie Ridley (Buzz) of Ochlocknee Ga. Grandchildren Lee Donaldson of Poulsbo WA, Brianna Craven (Noah) of Cairo Ga, Austin Ridley of Ochlocknee Ga, Jake Hayes of Whigham Ga, and Krysti Gambred of Ochlochnee Ga. Great grandchildren Luke Craven, Ava Ramey,and Kinsley Gambrel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers (Robert and Harold Hay).
A private family service is planned at a later date.
