Jim Anderson Obituary Jim F. Anderson, 73, of Tifton, GA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date. Jim was born May 16,1946, in Moultrie, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Robert and Vindetta Manning Anderson, and his brother, Gene Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jean B. Anderson of Tifton, GA; his daughter Beth Richardson and his granddaughter, Anderson E. Richardson (Andie) of Athens, GA. Jim is also survived by his sister-in-law, Patricia Anderson of Funston,GA; his identical twin brother, Joel M. Anderson and his wife, Janette, of Perry, GA, as well as his nieces, Nancy and Caylor Mark of Tifton, GA, Amy, Naomi, and Roxie Peterson of Smyrna, GA, sister-in-law Frances Whiddon, brother-in-law Buddy Brogdon (Eileen) of Omega, GA, and several nieces and nephews. Jim graduated from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in 1969, then served in the United States Army from 1969 – 1972. He practiced pharmacy for 40 years, mostly in Tifton at CVS and later at Moon’s Pharmacy until he retired in 2017. Jim endeared himself to all who knew him with his dry humor, acts of kindness, and deep affection expressed in both word and deed. He was dependable, trustworthy, and took his promises and obligations seriously - to his family, his friends, and his church. Whenever a need was expressed to him, Jim found a way to fill it, with no expectation of recognition. Jim was a man of faith and a member of First United Methodist Church in Tifton, GA. He was an avid Bulldawg Fan, loved his yard, and fished when he wasn’t taking care of his bird feeders. Jim adored his three girls, and they adored him as husband, father and “Grandah.” They will miss him, but his influence and love will live on in each of them forever.
