Michael Casey Obituary Michael Casey, age 54 of Valdosta, GA passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 at his home. Graveside Services will be held at Westview Cemetery on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Family will receive visitors starting at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Todd Garner, Rev. Brett Jarriel, and Rev. John Nunes will officiate. Michael was born September 18, 1968 in Moultrie, GA to Roy L. Casey and to the late Ann Conley Squires (late Jack Squires). He was a superior computer analyst and was employed for more than 20 years as the I.T. Manager with Vulcan Steel Structures, Inc. He deeply enjoyed his career and had an exceptionally vast knowledge of computer hardware and software applications. He started his own computer company before he worked at Vulcan Steel Structures, Inc. called Casey Computers for a few years. Trans Data Limited of Moultrie, his very first employer, is where his love of computers all began. Also, Michael enjoyed playing the bass guitar since he was a teenager beginning in the Moultrie C.O.G. He was an exceptionally talented bass player, musician, singer, leader in several churches as a choir director, minister of youth, preached on occasion to adults, and manager of the sound and technology departments. Union Grove of Tifton was his latest church to lead music as a Choir Director and as a Minister of Youth. Azalea City C.O.G. of Valdosta, CrossPointe Church of Valdosta, and The Avenue Church of Tifton were his latest churches to play in the band on his six-string bass. Also, Michael enjoyed playing golf most every week where he lived in the Stone Creek Community of Valdosta, GA. Star Wars was his movie of choice to watch with his kids, and he loved to go to the Cinema to watch any new Marvel movies. He loved his family and worked very hard to provide for them. He would go the extra mile for his family and friends. He was a Godly role model, husband, and father (dad). He liked to joke around and try to put a smile on everyone’s faces. He was a shoulder to cry on or there to listen, but mostly he wanted to make sure each one knew that he loved them and God loves them. Survivors include his wife, Amanda, his four children, Ryan (Samantha) Casey, Parks Casey, Sarah Casey, Caroline Casey; three grandchildren, Kayden Casey, Zeke Casey, Piper Casey; one sister, Pamela (John) Nunes; his father, Roy L.
