Thomas Parker Gipson Sr

In loving memory of, Thomas Parker Gipson Sr "Tex", born in Decherd, Tennessee on May 25, 1939 passed away peacefully at home on April 17, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather,and great -grandfather. Tom's life was defined by his dedication to both family and community. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959. Following his military service he committed many years to the safety and well-being of the Niles, Michigan community as both chief of police and firefighter. Later in life he relocated to Florida, where he worked for many years with Martin Elections,then became manager of Southern Villas from where he retired . Throughout his life, Tom exemplified a spirit of service, courage, and compassion. His legacy of love, faith and service will continue to inspire all who knew him. He was a steadfast protector and a loving family man whose contributions touched many lives. He was a member of the Perry Seventh -day Adventist Church demonstrating unwavering faith and commitment to the Lord. His family shares this heartfelt tribute: "We will all miss you dearly, your love and kindness will remain in our hearts forever." Tom is preceded in death by his parents James Allen and Ethel Bea Gipson, siblings James "Jim" Gipson (Linda), William "Bill" Gipson (Shirley), Beverly Ann Booth (Len), and Jean Vann , as well as His wife Joan June Gipson and children Angela Kay Schmaltz, Thomas Parker Gipson Jr and Donald "Donnie" Gipson. Tom is survived by his children, Patricia "Patty" Crouch (Brian), Ronald "Ronnie" Gipson SR. (Hilda), and daughter in laws Juanita Gipson-Sullivan (Joe),and Lisa Gipson as well as his grandchildren Jason Crouch (Pam), Christopher Crouch (Sarah),Joanna Gregory (Donal),Tasha Gipson, Amanda Blackman (Denton), Vernisha Pinner (Andrew) Sherry Corbin (Matthew), Christina Gipson,Vernon Long Jr., Kristen Gipson, Kacy Rhodes (Daniel), Ronnie Gipson Jr. (Sarah), Justin Gipson (Ashley),Joshua Gipson ,Jordan Gipson and Opal Gonzalez , as well as 34 great - grandchildren whom all brought him immense pride and joy. Along with many Nieces, nephews , and extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Perry Seventh - day Adventist church 2268 Green Farm Rd. Perry Florida 32347 on Sunday May 18th at 2:00 pm . There will be No grave side service .
