Linda Tibbetts

Linda Scott Tibbetts, 62, died April 12, 2024 at her home surrounded by loved ones in Tifton, Georgia. Her Celebration of Life and visitation with family, will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 5:30pm- 7:00pm at Reflection Cremation & Funeral Service in Tifton, Georgia. Mrs. Tibbetts was born on July 25, 1961 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Dale and Norma Scott. She was the middle child of 3 siblings and she never let her parents forget that she was the second child and didn’t have any studio pictures made. She was an excellent student all through her school years and enjoyed the band, French Club, and her friends. She moved to Albany, Georgia in the Summer of 1974. Even though she moved so far from home, she stayed in touch with all of her aunts, uncles, and cousins. She married Craig Tibbetts on August 3, 1980. They soon added to their family with one daughter and one son. She had a successful career at All Star International/Yancey Trucking for 24 years as the Parts Manager. She enjoyed her job and was thorough and precise. Although, she enjoyed her job, she retired early in 2012 to be able to take care of her 4 grandchildren after school. This brought her more joy in life than anything. The endless schools and car pick up lines didn’t bother her. She loved telling us the stories that the kids would tell her when we would get off work to pick them up. She was the best Mamaw to her babies. Linda loved to travel with her family and especially camping with her husband in Vogel State Park. That was her happy place. Throughout her life she became a 2 nd degree black belt in Taekwondo, enjoyed the beach, took many family trips, Disney Park hopped, loved everything purple, cherished her fur babies, and hosted regular Tuesday family night dinners with her growing family. She was one of the most compassionate and kind souls. She was there for her family if they ever needed her or when they didn’t know they needed her. She gave the best hugs and was constantly asking everyone if they were okay. She is survived by her husband Craig Tibbetts, daughter and son in law, Ashley and Van Gandy, son and daughter in law, Michael and Miranda Tibbetts, 6 grandchildren, Ty Dorden, Braylin Dorden, Abbie Gandy, Maddie Gandy, Bristol Tibbetts, and Jack Tibbetts. Her father Dale Scott and brother Alan Scott. She is preceded in death by her mother Norma Jean Scott and her brother Jeffrey Scott.
