Sadie Mae Dupree

Sadie Mae Dupree was born on July 26, 1955, in Sylvester, Georgia, to Walter Dupree and Mary Lizzie Jones. She was the fifth of twelve children. On July 26, 2026, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Archbold Cairo Living in Cairo, Georgia. Sadie dedicated her life to Jehovah in 1977 in Valdosta, Georgia, faithfully serving Jehovah for 49 years. Her faith was the foundation of her life and was reflected in the love, kindness, and generosity she showed to others. She held firmly to the Bible's promise of the resurrection, and that hope remained a source of comfort and strength throughout her life. It also continues to bring comfort to her family and friends as they look forward to the fulfillment of Jehovah's promise to restore life to those who are asleep in death. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Sadie found great joy in caring for her family. She loved cooking delicious meals, tending her garden, listening to music, and dancing. She had a wonderful sense of humor and delighted in being playful and making others laugh. More than anything, she treasured bringing her family together and creating lasting memories with those she loved. Sadie's gentle spirit and genuine kindness touched everyone she met. Even during her extended illness, her warmth and gracious nature endeared her to the nursing staff, caregivers, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her loving personality left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. While raising her family as a devoted homemaker, Sadie also worked in Nutrition Services for Tift County Schools, where she faithfully served her community over the years. One of the greatest blessings in Sadie's life was being a mother. During her marriage to Aldrin Farrie, they were blessed with three children who remained the center of her love and devotion throughout her life. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children, Michelle Green (Billy), Tanika Mickerson (Bobby), and Alex Farrie (Wendy); her siblings, Walter Dupree (Barbara Jean), Mary Johnson, Maggie Dupree, Sarah Johnson, Shirley Parker, Tony Parker, and Patricia Jones; her cherished grandchildren, Nathan Buckholtz, Maurice Wilcox, and Jurnee Farrie; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Dupree and Mary Lizzie Jones, and her siblings James Jones, Bobby Jones, Augusta Marshall, and Eunice Plummer. Funeral Services: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1911 Whiddon Mill Road, Tifton, Georgia 31793. Though deeply missed, Sadie will be lovingly remembered for her steadfast faith, her generous heart, her joyful spirit, and the love she poured into her family and friends. Her family eagerly awaits the day when Jehovah's promise at John 5:28, 29 is fulfilled and they are reunited with her. Until then, they find comfort in the assurance that "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."
